On Tuesday 21st February twelve students visited the Lee Valley Velodrome Park, which hosted all the track cycling in the London 2012 Olympics. This trip was awarded to our school as a result of our commitment to the Cycle to School Challenge, which took place in October 2016. The students who contributed to the challenge were the lucky ones to benefit from the prize. Students from Year 7, 8, 9, and 12 received an intensive training session on how to cycle (and stay on their bike!). Students progressed very quickly and by the end of the session were completing laps of the track on an extremely tough gradient. The students really enjoyed themselves and are now looking forward to their trip the Lee Valley BMX Park, on Thursday 16th March.
