Bullying or child-on-child abuse of any kind will never be tolerated or passed off as \u201cbanter\u201d or \u201cpart of growing up\u201d at Beal High School. Any incident or allegation of child-on-child abuse will be dealt with in line with our Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy and our Student Behaviour Policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is Bullying?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Learning to understand and manage conflict is an important part of growing up. Bullying is not simply a \u2018falling out\u2019. Research shows that experiencing bullying can have a significant impact on a child\u2019s life well into adulthood. To ensure we are able to prevent bullying, act quickly when it takes place and ensure we are identifying it properly, we use the Anti-bullying Alliance definition of Bullying:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bullying is the repetitive, intentional hurting of one person or group by another person or group, where the relationship involves an imbalance of power. It can happen face to face or online.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
