The High Fliers group is made up of approximately 30 students in the Sixth Form aspiring to apply to the most prestigious and elite world-class high tariff Russell Group Universities, including Oxford and Cambridge.
We host a number of events as part of the High Fliers programme to support our students on their academic journey over the two years that they are at Beal Sixth Form. This includes:
Weekly academic workshops led by the Sixth Form senior leadership team
1:1 academic mentoring
Access to super-curricular resources and materials
Links to wider reading
Trips to Lady Margaret Hall College, University of Oxford
Beal Sixth Form/Oxbridge alumni visits
Mock university interview preparation with Oxbridge alumni
Online and in-person admission test coaching
Mock admissions tests
Work experience
Volunteering opportunities
The opportunity to take part in academic research projects with Queen Mary University of London and Cambridge University
Specialist provision with academic tutors
Access to specialist online lectures and face-to-face lectures from King’s College London and Queen Mary University of London
Online application workshops with Wadham College, University of Oxford
Face-to-face interview workshops with Oxbridge alumni
Access to summer schools and open days at Oxbridge
We also run insight events for Year 11 students aspiring to become part of the academic High Fliers programme when they enter the Sixth Form.
