SCHOOL TRAVEL PLAN
We as a school are committed to promoting active and safe travel. Throughout this year we will be running the following:
- Theatre in Education Performances – to encourage our students to be streetwise
- Poster competitions – to raise awareness of the importance of being visible whilst travelling to and from school
- Walk to School Banner competitions – to promote walking to school
- Cycle to School Week and Bikers’ Breakfast – to get more students and staff cycling to school
- Walk to School Week – to encourage students to walk to school opposed to being driven
- Dr Bike sessions – to make our bikes safe for use
- Youth Travel Ambassador workshops – to train our students on how to take a lead on addressing our travel and transport issues
- Bikeability Level 1 & 2 courses – to teach students how to ride safely on busy roads
- Transport for London Air Quality Project – to tackle air pollution in our local community
