At Beal High School, we believe that Science should be taught correctly from the beginning. It is our aim to ensure that the scientific knowledge and understanding required at Key Stage 5 has its roots in the material taught right from the beginning of any student’s secondary school experience. By embracing breadth and depth and by teaching science topics to the highest calibre, we hope to provide every student with the foundations for success in science during secondary school and beyond. Our goal is to ensure that, powerful scientific knowledge and understanding acquired through deliberate practice along with quality first teaching, will result in excellent educational outcomes. Our provision is inclusive in that all students are scientists and can think scientifically and it is ambitious in that all students follow a rigorous curriculum designed to help students progress to studying science at the highest levels.
