The MFL curriculum’s ultimate aim is to equip our students with the ability to interact meaningfully with people from diverse backgrounds along with understanding their own language and culture better. In KS3 we cultivate a love for languages by teaching students how to talk about themselves and what is important to them. In lessons, students develop strong reading, writing, listening and speaking skills and have engaging learning experiences that build a foundation for further study at KS4. At GCSE, students are empowered to become more confident communicators and global citizens, as they make sense of their wider world discussing current and crucial themes like the environment and equality.
