Beal Students Participate in ground-breaking research!

Beal High School students feature in a recently published research paper written by Bea Savory, Research Assistant in Public Health at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and in partnership with the University of Cambridge.

As part of the study, students were interviewed in focus groups and then led on a local walk exploring the retail outlets around Gants Hill.

The paper focused on government planning policy that stops new takeaway food outlets from opening near schools to improve health – see https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S027795362500139X
